Paula Gallardo

Paula Gallardo was born in 1980 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She belongs to a family of saddles

and footwear makers. In 2001, she became an artistic ceramics Professor. During the years of

study, Paula travelled several times to Holland and in that period she became interested in the

bond between the art and the design. In 2003 she received a scholarship granted by the Unes-

co that allowed her to study and to work in institute EKWC (European Ceramic Work Centre) in

`s Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands. The same year, she worked in the study of the artist and

industrial designer Piet Stockmans, in Genk, Belgium. On her return to Argentina, she continued

working in the artistic production and the design of accessories. Paula Gallardo is a business

venture that started in 2006, with the design and production of leather and ceramics accesso-

ries; two materials that give infinite possibilities of shapes, colours and textures
